A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir, book review

Here`s a review of A Torch Against the Night, I´ll try to not spoil anyone but I recommend you to not read this review if you haven´t read the first book in the series yet.

Title: A Torch Against the Night

Author: Sabaa Tahir

Story: The fourth trial has ended but Laia and Elias story is long from over. Now, they need to run for their lives from Martial soldiers and Elias former friend Helene.

Laia is determined to break into Kauf, the Empire´s biggest and most dangerous prison to save her brother Darin. Darin who´s the only one who possible can save the Scolars. And Elias is determined to help her success.

But dark forces, both human and non-human work against them and it´s uncertain if they even will survive.

At the same time is Helen, the new Blood Shrike forced to haunt Elias and Laia, and kill them both.

Review: I actually even loved this book more than the first one, if that´s even possible.

It´s an amazing fantasy book but it also have a lot of politics and some love mixed together.

Many people have said that those books only are like all the other YA fantasy books out there, and yes: It´s very similar to other books in some ways but I still love it so much. The characters are amazing, the writing style is great and the world building is also really good!

I have actually nothing bad to say about this book, just go and read it!

I loved that you also got to read it from Helenes perspective because I feel like she´s a really interesting character  and it was so fun to get to know her better.

This book made me cry so much, but it was absolutely worth it!!!!

I´m so excited for the third book, I seriously can´t wait!!!
